§ 2-347. Future employment.

  • No official or employee, whether paid or unpaid, shall solicit or accept employment with any person, firm or corporation with which he or his agency is engaged on behalf of the village in the transaction of business which is or may be affected by his official action until two years after the termination of his service with the village. It shall be improper for any former official or employee to appear at any time before the agency in which he was formerly employed in connection with any case or other matter which he was directly connected while an official or employee. It also shall be improper for any former official or employee to appear before the agency in which he was formerly employed in connection with any transaction involving the village if such transaction was under his administrative responsibility at any time within a period of two years after termination of his service with the village. Such official or employee may be released from this obligation after a review of the relevant facts of his case by the village board on the application of such official or employee.
