§ 2-654. Date of appointment and length of term.

The commissioners shall be elected by the village board for five year terms, commencing on October 1, excepting that the terms of the first five members elected to the commission will commence on the date of election and expire successively one each year starting October 1, 1964, as determined by the village board.
